News Briefs - Pat Noble is an energetic mother of six (mostly out of the house now), a mission leader in her local church, and an avid reader and follower of world news. She is also the author of a social-studies curriculum. Pat is a member of Pioneers, and lives, works, and serves as an advocate for missions in upstate New York. Producing the Missions Catalyst News Briefs twice a month is probably the biggest job in keeping our magazine going, so we appreciate Pat's hard work.
Practical Mobilization - Shane Bennett served with Caleb Project from 1987 to 2007. He co-authored a training manual for ethnographic research called Exploring the Land - Discovering Ways for Unreached People to Follow Christ. Shane now works as a public speaker for Frontiers and is part-time missions pastor at Union Chapel. He and his wife, Ann, have five school-aged children. They live and work in Indiana. Shane's articles are some of the most popular in Missions Catalyst; we're glad to have him around.

Managing Editor - Marti Smith served with Caleb Project from 1995 to 2007 before making the switch to Pioneers. Through Her Eyes, Marti’s book about the lives of missionary women in the Muslim world, was published June 2005 by Authentic Media. Marti lives and works in Colorado. When she's not busy keeping Catalyst moving ahead, she's often training and supporting short-term teams and others investing in cultural research projects - learning about new places every year.
